After business hours, police officers routinely drive by area businesses. On a random basis, an officer will physically check the business for open doors or unsecured glass windows. After checking the business, the officer will leave a notice letting the business owner know their business was checked.
Business Crime Watch Program
As a free service to Little Elm businesses, the Business Crime Watch program:
Provides for contact telephone numbers of owners, managers, or their designees in order for police to call them for after-hour emergencies (i.e. an unlocked door, open windows, fire, burglary, etc.)
Provides an email contact that the Community Services Division adds to a business contact distribution list. This gives the police department and the Town of Little Elm a means for rapid and uniform information sharing and alert capability on a wide scale throughout the town.
